Church of the Holy Trinity, Troškūnai

The Church of the Holy Trinity is a brick-built Baroque structure in Troškūnai with a Latin cross layout measuring roughly 43 by 17 meters. Inside, seven altars fill the space, and one of the region's oldest organs stands ready to fill the interior with sound.

The brick building was finished in 1787 after wooden predecessors fell to fires in 1743 and 1770. This cycle of destruction and rebuilding set the course for what stands in Troškūnai today.

This church serves as a spiritual center for the local community and shapes the visual identity of Troškūnai's heart. The veneration practices tied to the Virgin Mary painting and the sound of the organ during services remain woven into how residents experience their daily lives.

The building sits on Vytauto Street in the center of Troškūnai and is enclosed by a stone fence with decorative metal details. Its central location makes it easy to find, and the fenced courtyard provides a peaceful area to explore.

The church square holds a memorial monument called Gates for Those Who Left to Defend the Homeland, created by sculptor Jonas Jagėla. This work remembers local sacrifice and stands as a testament to the village's connection to Lithuania's broader history.
