Maišiagala Manor, Classical manor estate in Maišiagala, Lithuania.
Maišiagala Manor is a white classical building with symmetrical windows and columned central entrance located below Maišiagala Hill Fort. The estate houses a city library, cultural center, and shop featuring regional handicrafts and local products.
Construction began in 1806 when Count Onufry Houvalt commissioned architect Mychal Angel Schulz for the classical design. The property remained under family ownership until the outbreak of World War II.
The manor functions as a cultural hub where visitors encounter traditional craft workshops and local artistry. Community members and travelers gather here to experience performances and exhibitions reflecting the region's creative heritage.
The manor sits about 25 kilometers northwest of Vilnius and is easily accessible by road. Visitors can explore the library, attend craft demonstrations, and participate in cultural events throughout the year.
The manor sits directly below an ancient hill fort, creating a layered landscape where different historical periods meet in one location. This juxtaposition shows how the site has held significance from prehistoric times through the modern era.
