Paliesius manor, Manor house in eastern Lithuania.
Paliesius Manor is a classical estate located along the Kančiogina river in eastern Lithuania. The complex includes the main residence, a chapel, converted stables serving as a concert hall, servant quarters, a bathhouse, and an ice house scattered across the grounds.
The estate came under Count Tyzenhauzas during the 17th century and was acquired by the Kublicki family in 1736, prominent Livonian officials who shaped its development. The property changed hands multiple times over the following centuries.
The converted stable building called Pasaga concert hall contains two Steinway pianos and hosts performances by international musicians in its glass-walled space. This venue has become a center for classical music in the region.
The property offers overnight stays in individually decorated rooms with wood-burning stoves and natural linen bedding, along with dining in the restaurant serving seasonal local produce. Plan visits around concert schedules and allow time to walk the grounds, especially pleasant during warmer months.
The property preserves a historic piano that once belonged to a Prussian prince and remains playable to this day. The grounds also house a specialized physical therapy clinic that treats heart and muscle conditions.
