St. Willibrord Basilika

The basilica features a vaulted crypt containing Saint Willibrord's relics stored in a stone coffin with a white marble canopy above it.

The first church was built around 700 by Saint Willibrord, but the current structure dates from 1953 following destruction during World War II.

The basilica holds the Dancing Procession each Whit Tuesday, a UNESCO-recognized tradition where thousands of pilgrims dance in synchronized patterns.

Visitors can access the basilica through Parvis de la Basilique and explore both the main church area and the underground crypt throughout the day.

The basilica houses two ancient ambo plaques with island-style tracery, now displayed at the National Museum of History and Art in Luxembourg.
