The museum complex features underground galleries extending 90 meters below surface level, accessed through a dedicated mining train transportation system.
The mining activities in the region began during Celtic and Gallo-Roman times over 2000 years ago, with industrial operations continuing until the 1980s.
The exhibits display work uniforms, safety equipment, and documentation that illustrate the daily routines of mining families in Luxembourg's industrial south.
The facility operates from April to October, with guided tours available Thursday through Sunday afternoons and additional summer hours in July and August.
Visitors can explore 650 meters of underground tunnels while examining original mining machinery and tools preserved in their operating locations.
