Biksti Manor

Biksti Manor is a two-story rectangular building that displays classical architectural features following various renovations over time. A landscape park with many different tree species surrounds the manor and forms an important part of the property.

The manor was built in 1847 and originally belonged to the Ropp noble family. After agrarian reforms in the 1920s, it came under the ownership of the Agricultural Society and subsequently the von Lieven family.

Inside, you can see 19th-century details such as original fireplaces, heating systems, wooden walls, and iron railings that still show the craftsmanship of that era. These elements give a sense of how people lived and arranged their homes back then.

The building now serves as Biksti Elementary School and is an active part of the community. Visitors should check ahead to arrange any visit, as the manor functions as a working school.

The manor shows a shift from neo-gothic style toward classical forms through successive renovations. Despite these changes, many original architectural details have survived to the present day.
