Brukna Manor, Manor house in Dāviņi Parish, Latvia
Brukna Manor is a neoclassical manor house in Dāviņi Parish near Bauska Municipality in Latvia. The main building features two wings and stands within a designed park that surrounds the entire property.
The manor was founded in 1701 by the von Korff family and has shaped the region since then. Extensive reconstructions during the mid-1800s gave it the appearance it has today.
The Great Castle Hall inside serves as a cinema and event space that has hosted local film productions. The way people use this room shows how the house remains connected to community life today.
The manor offers lodging for around 60 people, tent areas, and banquet halls for events. Tours need to be arranged ahead of time, so check in advance what areas are accessible during your visit.
Since 2001, the Mountain Blessing Community has managed the manor, using work activities for rehabilitation rather than medical treatments. This approach makes the property an unusual place of recovery in the rural area.
