Landhuis Meri

Landhuis Meri is a Neo-Renaissance manor complex in Bilskas parish, Vidzeme region, Latvia. The site includes a central residence, outbuildings constructed from stone and brick, stables featuring arcade elements, cowsheds, and a stone-walled barn forming a structured ensemble.

The estate originated in the early 17th century, but the current architectural style took form between 1903 and 1906. This later period shaped the appearance we see today and represents evolution from earlier stages.

The manor preserves interior decoration from the early 20th century that reflects German architectural influence in Latvia. These style choices remain visible in the rooms today and speak to the building's origins and past residents.

The building currently operates as an elementary school, so it functions primarily as an educational facility for the local community. Access and visiting opportunities depend on school hours and any available guided tours.

The grounds feature a landscape park with terraces and artificial islands within a pond system that create an unusual design. The park also contains exotic tree species, including one of Latvia's largest oak trees.
