Ciuflea Monastery, Orthodox monastery in Chișinău, Moldova
The white stone structure with nine golden domes stands as a central religious building featuring elements of Russian-Byzantine architectural design by N. Golikov.
The monastery construction began in 1854 through funding from Aromanian merchant brothers Teodor and Anastasie Ciufli, who migrated from Macedonia to Bessarabia.
The monastery contains marble plates with inscriptions near its southern wall, marking the final resting place of the Ciufli brothers.
Located at Ciuflea Street number 1, the monastery holds daily morning and evening services, with continuous readings of the Psalter.
During the Soviet period, when the Nativity Cathedral became an exhibition hall, this monastery received cathedral status and maintained religious functions.
