Stadionul Republican, Sports stadium in central Chișinău, Moldova
The Republican Stadium stood as a multi-purpose sports facility with natural grass surface and dimensions of 111 meters by 77 meters in length.
Built in 1952, this stadium served as the primary sports venue in Moldova for over five decades until its demolition in 2007.
The venue functioned as the home ground for the Moldova national football team and hosted numerous matches of local clubs Dacia Chișinău and Zimbru Chișinău.
The stadium provided seating for 8,084 spectators and contained four dedicated boxes for special guests and media representatives during sporting events.
In 1986, the Republican Stadium became the stage for the Soviet League Cup final between Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Zenit Leningrad teams.
