The Eternity Memorial Complex is a war memorial and park in Chișinău centered on a pyramid formed by five granite bayonets surrounding an eternal flame. The site includes commemorative stones with soldier names and incorporates a symbolic belfry as part of its design.
The memorial was inaugurated in 1975 to mark 30 years after World War II ended, constructed on the site of former cemeteries. The five bayonets are engraved with years spanning 1941 to 1945, marking the war's duration.
The memorial's name refers to eternal remembrance, and visitors can walk past engraved names of soldiers to reflect on individual lives. The symbolic belfry and the inscription 'We didn't forget you' address those who come to pay respect.
The memorial is located along P. Halippa Street and features an honor guard from the Moldovan Army that changes every hour. Visitors can freely approach the complex to view the commemorative stones.
The site was built on former cemeteries that belonged to Lutheran, Orthodox, and Lipovan communities, reflecting the layered history beneath the memorial. This choice shows how different periods of local history were woven together in one place.
