Army Museum

The Army Museum occupies a former Soviet Army House of Officers and displays military equipment, tanks, artillery, and firearms across multiple exhibition halls. An outdoor area features Soviet-era vehicles parked on the grounds.

Founded in 1999, the museum documents major military events that shaped Moldova, including the 1992 conflict and Soviet occupation. It preserves the memory of warfare and foreign control across the region's past.

The museum displays uniforms, medals, and photographs that show how soldiers from different eras lived their military experiences. These personal objects give visitors a sense of what military service meant to people in Moldova.

The building sits downtown on Tighina Street and is easy to reach on foot from the city center. Plan enough time to see both the indoor halls and the outdoor vehicle exhibition.

The museum keeps around 150 soil samples taken from graves of World War II soldiers. These samples were collected during a commemoration event marking the 75th anniversary in 2020.
