Mănăstirea Țigănești, Orthodox monastery in Țigănești, Moldova
The monastery consists of three churches, including a stone church built in 1846 and a chapel dedicated to Saint Nicholas constructed in 1840.
Local nobleman Lupu Dencu and peasants from Cobalca village established the monastery in 1725, constructing a wooden church as refuge from Tatar invasions.
The monks at Țigănești Monastery maintain traditional crafts such as woodworking, preserving local artisanal techniques through generations.
The monastery allows visitors to explore the grounds, attend religious services, and view the architectural features that represent Moldovan religious heritage.
A spring-fed church dedicated to a miracle-working icon of the Mother of God was constructed in 2009 above a natural water source.
