Veles

Veles is a city in central Macedonia located along the Haliacmon River, which divides the town into distinct sections. The urban area includes residential neighborhoods, public squares, and a mix of older and newer buildings spread across both riverbanks.

The city served as an important trade hub since ancient times, positioned on routes connecting the Mediterranean with lands to the north. Throughout the centuries, it passed through different rulers and systems, each leaving marks on how it developed.
