Two religious structures form this site in the Roma district of Strumica, featuring both a modern church and ancient archaeological foundations.
The foundations and remaining wall sections of the older church date between the fourth and ninth centuries, marking early Christian presence in Tiveriopolis.
The fifteen martyrs, executed in the fourth century for rejecting Byzantine pagan practices, became central figures in Strumica's religious identity.
December 11 marks the annual commemoration day when Orthodox believers gather at the church to honor the memory of the fifteen martyrs.
The resident nuns maintain the church grounds and provide detailed information about the archaeological discoveries and religious traditions to visitors.
