Hkakabo Razi, Highest mountain in Myanmar
Hkakabo Razi is known for its difficult ascent and treacherous weather conditions.
It was first summited in 1996 by a Japanese climber.
The mountain is considered sacred in local folklore and beliefs.
Special permits are required for climbing Hkakabo Razi.
Home to many endemic species, it is part of the Tentative World Heritage Site list.
