Royal Academy of Art

The Royal Academy of Art is an art school and heritage monument in The Hague that provides studios, workshops, and exhibition spaces for students working across painting, sculpture, photography, and design. The facility houses multiple buildings with equipment and areas dedicated to hands-on artistic practice.

The institution was founded in 1682 as the Haagsche Teeken-Academie and represents the oldest art academy in the Netherlands. It received its royal title in 1957 to honor several centuries of unbroken art education in the city.
