Established in 1950 in the garden of Ten Rhijn estate, Vogelpark Avifauna became the first dedicated bird park in the world.
The park organizes educational sessions about bird conservation, featuring daily feeding presentations of penguins, lemurs, and pygmy monkeys.
Winter visitors can access the park on weekends from 10:00 to 16:30, with online tickets priced at 10 euros and parking available for 5 euros.
In 2015, the park introduced red pandas to its collection, making it the first zoo to combine these mammals with extensive bird exhibits.
