The Essalam Mosque is a prayer house featuring a 25-meter-high central dome supported by four columns and decorated with natural stone slabs on its exterior. The building spans four levels and combines prayer spaces, teaching areas, and offices within its structure.
Construction began in 2010 under architect Wilfried van Winden's direction. The project introduced a new expression of modern Islamic architecture to the city.
The mosque functions as a gathering place for the Muslim community, offering spaces for prayer, learning, and shared events. People from various backgrounds come here to practice their faith and connect with one another.
The building has a western entrance and is easily visible from the street. Its four stories are accessible by stairs and elevator.
