Fabriekscomplex Jannink, Historic textile factory complex in Enschede, Netherlands.
The Fabriekscomplex Jannink is an industrial complex from 1900 featuring two intersecting buildings with a prominent tower, designed following English factory principles. The facades blend brick and natural stone, with inscriptions documenting the founders and construction date.
The factory was founded in 1900 and operated as a major center for textile production in the region. After closure in 1967, the building was partially converted into a textile museum, which ran until 2008.
The complex bears the name of the Jannink family, who shaped the textile trade here across generations. Today, memorials and the architecture tell the story of when this site was central to the city's economic life.
Today the site functions partly as residential apartments and partly as a health center that opened in 2018. Visitors should note that some areas are private and only viewable from outside, while public access to certain sections may be limited.
A memorial stone commemorates H.E. Jannink, who was executed during World War II. This monument links the site's industrial past with an important moment in local wartime history.
