Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein'

The Airborne Museum Hartenstein is located in Oosterbeek and showcases original weapons, uniforms, and equipment from the Battle of Arnhem. The exhibitions feature extensive historical artifacts and displays that illustrate the military conflict.

The building served as headquarters for the British 1st Airborne Division during Operation Market Garden in September 1944. The Allies attempted to secure control over the Rhine during this campaign.

The Remembrance Room displays photographs and personal stories from soldiers and civilians affected by the battle. Visitors can connect with the human side of these historical events through these accounts.

The museum is open daily and easily accessible from outside. Plan adequate time to view all the exhibitions throughout the site.
