Het Klaverblad, Wooden sawmill in Zaanse Schans, Netherlands
Het Klaverblad operates as a functional sawmill with rotating sails, processing wood using traditional Dutch milling techniques in the Zaanse Schans district.
The mill, constructed by Ru Pos at the former KROMO warehouse location, began its operations in 2005 as part of the historical windmill collection.
This sawmill exemplifies the Netherlands' industrial heritage through its continued demonstration of traditional wood processing methods at scheduled times.
Visitors reach Het Klaverblad through a 15-minute walk from the train station, following signs through the Zaanse Schans open-air museum complex.
The foundation managing Het Klaverblad maintains the mill's original wood-cutting mechanisms, allowing guests to witness authentic sawmill operations in motion.
