Watertoren Amsterdam Spaklerweg

The brick structure rises 29 meters high with a circular base plan and features a cast-iron Intze 2 reservoir at its summit.

Built in 1911 as part of the Zuidergasfabriek complex, the tower supplied water to Amsterdam residents during the early twentieth century industrial growth.

The water tower exhibits architectural elements from Dutch industrial heritage, with its Neo-Hollandse Renaissance style designed by municipal architect M.A.C. Hartman.

Located at coordinates 52.338392, 4.916264, the monument stands near public transportation routes connecting central Amsterdam to the Overamstel district.

The structure contains one of only two remaining cast-iron Intze 2 reservoirs in the Netherlands, complemented by a wrought-iron helical staircase from 1908.
