Martenastate, Neo-Renaissance estate in Koarnjum, Netherlands

The Martenastate features a miniature castle design with a distinctive onion-shaped tower roof and sits within a landscaped park filled with native flora.

The estate's origins date to 1468, and the current structure, designed by architect Willem Cornelis de Groot, replaced the original building in 1899.

The property maintained its noble heritage through several prominent Dutch families: Martena, Aylva, Burmania, and Vegelin van Claerbergen until 1894.

Visitors can access the estate's natural camping ground through De Wier 7a entrance, with the camping area operating from April 1st to October 1st.

The Túnmanswente facility on the grounds provides tea garden services, meeting spaces, and bed-and-breakfast accommodations throughout the year.
