The estate features a square house with a tower addition from 1920, surrounded by park-like forest and formal beech tree avenues.
The estate, constructed around 1770 for Salomon Dedel, replaced an earlier property from 1634 built by merchant Benedictus Schaeck.
The gardens transformed from geometric French designs with symmetrical ponds to an English landscape style with natural water features in the 1800s.
The Gooi and Vecht Visitors Centre, located in Brambergen farmhouse, operates Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.
The basement of Boekesteyn appeared as the kitchen setting in the Dutch television series Swiebertje from 1955 to 1975.
