The Concertgebouw de Vereeniging features Art Nouveau architecture with a main hall accommodating 1450 seats and smaller performance spaces throughout the building.
The construction of this concert venue began in 1914 after conductor Willem Mengelberg refused to perform in the previous Nijmegen concert hall.
The interior displays artistic works by painter Huib Luns and sculptors Egidius Everaerts and Jacques Oor, representing Dutch cultural expression of the 1910s.
The venue includes multiple spaces such as the Keizer Karelfoyer, Annazaal, Sociëteitskamer, Leeuwzaal, and a Grand Café Restaurant for different event requirements.
