Museum Vrolik, Anatomical museum at Academic Medical Center, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The Museum Vrolik houses over 2,000 displayed specimens of human and animal anatomy, including skeletons, skulls, and anatomical models.
Professors Gerardus Vrolik and his son Willem established their private collection in the late 18th century, which Amsterdam municipality acquired in 1869.
The museum specimens demonstrate the development of medical knowledge and the study of human anatomy throughout the Netherlands during the 19th century.
Located on the ground floor of the medical faculty building, the museum opens Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 17:00, with admission at 10 euros.
The collection contains 20,000 specimens, including rare pathological conditions and developmental anomalies dating from the 16th century to 1950.
