Castle Op Genhoes, Historic château in Brunssum, Netherlands.
The castle complex includes a gatehouse from 1538 and residential buildings constructed with traditional Limburg architectural elements and surrounded by former moats.
In 1622, brothers Willem and Godart Vos commissioned the construction of this new castle to replace their wooden fortress called Vossenleen.
The castle served as a residence for the Baron de Negri family, who provided several mayors of Brunssum during the 19th century.
The remaining wing underwent restoration in 2002 and now forms part of a modern residential development at Hoogenboschweg 2.
During demolition work in 1930, workers discovered foundations of an unfinished tower between the barn and manor house.
