Park Rozenburg, Municipal park in Kralingen-Crooswijk, Netherlands.
Park Rozenburg covers 3 hectares between Oudedijk and Kralingse Plaslaan, featuring a central pond with a fountain and a network of walking paths. The grounds include numerous benches for visitors to rest throughout the area.
The land was part of Villa Rozenburg until 1895 when Rotterdam's city government purchased it and developed the park in 1911. This transformation was part of the city's early effort to create public green spaces.
The park and its surrounding neighborhood are protected monuments that reflect how Rotterdam grew as a city. Walking here, you can see how green spaces and residential streets fit together in older urban planning.
You can enter the park from several points along Oudedijk street. Benches are positioned throughout so you can rest comfortably during your visit.
A young willow tree planted by the pond in 2005 stands where a historic weeping willow grew for more than 200 years until its removal. The replacement honors the long tradition of trees in this spot.
