Sint Maartenskerk Zaltbommel

Sint Maartenskerk is a Gothic basilica featuring three naves in the main section and a single-nave choir, showcasing the Lower Rhine Gothic style. The building displays characteristic elements of this architectural period with its proportions and structural design.

Construction of the current basilica began around 1450 as an expansion of an earlier Romanesque church founded by Bishop Bernold. This building marked a transition from Romanesque to Gothic architecture in the region.
