Uilen- en Dierenpark De Paay, Animal and owl park in Beesd, Netherlands
This zoo covers approximately two hectares along the Linge River and contains dedicated sections for owls, wallabies, meerkats, and other small animals. The grounds are organized into separate areas where different species have their own space.
The story started in 1992 when the founder began collecting owls and birds in his garden and gradually expanded the collection. The project grew into an officially recognized zoo that received formal certification in 2008.
The park showcases owls and their world through exhibits that help visitors learn about European species and how they live in nature. You can observe these birds in settings that reflect their natural habitats and understand their importance to wildlife.
The grounds are open daily and feature walkable paths throughout the property. Visitors should wear appropriate clothing for outdoor conditions and plan for spending a few hours exploring the different animal areas.
Visitors can walk through open areas where Bennett wallabies and guinea pigs roam freely among visitors. This direct contact allows you to observe their behaviors and movements in a space that feels natural to them.
