The site began in the 1990s when a retired sheet metal worker started transforming his backyard into an artwork. Over several decades, the installation grew into what it is today.
The garden displays Russian Orthodox forms and mythological imagery that visitors can spot in the metal sculptures and structures throughout the space. This blend of artistic traditions shapes the overall character of the place.
Visits are by appointment or when the open sign is displayed at the entrance. It is helpful to check in advance to ensure access when you plan to visit.
A small part of the garden was built as a chapel for wedding ceremonies, featuring an angel figure suspended from the ceiling. This personal use of the space gives it a distinctive role for couples seeking an unconventional setting.
