Kameleondorp

Kameleondorp is an amusement park in Terherne with a farm building, an adventure island section, and boat tours through the Frisian lakes. The grounds are built around characters from a children's book series, with different play areas and attractions to explore.

The park opened in 1991 after three years of planning, created to bring the successful Dutch children's book series De Kameleon to life. The concept aimed to turn the stories into an interactive experience for children.

The park draws its name from a popular Dutch children's book series, and visitors experience the adventures of characters Hielke and Sietse through different zones on the grounds. The father's workshop shows crafts that were part of farm life.

The adventure island area is for children 6 years and older, and the farm building has steep stairs that may be difficult for people with mobility limitations. Visitors should keep these points in mind when planning their visit.

In the farm village of Lenten, visitors can take part in a treasure hunt guided by talking milk cans. This unusual attraction blends play elements with storytelling in a humorous way.
