The IJzeren Man encompasses a large artificial lake surrounded by forest paths, adventure parks, and recreational facilities for outdoor activities throughout the year.
The artificial lake emerged in the early twentieth century as part of a broader development initiative to create recreational spaces for the residents of Vught.
The IJzeren Man functions as a central gathering place where local residents participate in water sports, outdoor activities, and community events.
Visitors can access multiple amenities including swimming areas, picnic spots, playgrounds, climbing courses, and a beach restaurant serving meals throughout the day.
The facility includes a 700-square-meter netted area and fifteen climbing courses with 135 different activities, making it the largest treetop adventure park in Benelux.
