Sint Elisabethskerk is a Gothic church in Grave featuring late Gothic elements combined with Renaissance details on its exterior. The southern gable displays stone pilasters and decorative caryatid figures that characterize its visual appearance.
The church was founded around 1240 and experienced major destruction during a city fire in 1415. Reconstruction efforts between 1423 and 1473 shaped the building we see today after this devastating event.
The interior shows baroque furnishings with carved altars and religious statues that reflect how communities decorated sacred spaces in the past. Visitors can see how art and faith came together in the way this church was furnished and maintained.
