Description
Kasteel Helmond is a rectangular water castle in Helmond featuring four round corner towers topped with conical roofs. The structure is surrounded by a wide moat that protects it and gives the castle its distinctive appearance.
History
The Van Berlaer family built the castle around 1402 to replace their earlier fortress in a different location. Later, modern changes were made that combined the medieval structure with contemporary elements.
