Rijn en Zon

Rijn en Zon is a flour mill in Utrecht built with a stone base and wooden upper section, representing traditional Dutch construction methods. The structure displays typical features of classical mill building from this region.

It was originally built in 1745 at Paardenveld and later reconstructed using parts from another mill called De Meiboom. This combination of elements shows how craftspeople adapted and preserved structures across generations.
