The estate covers 130 hectares of land, featuring a country house with surrounding park, outbuildings, farms, mixed forests, meadows, and agricultural fields.
The site's history dates to the 14th century, with the current house built in 1559 for Hendrik van Oldeneel and extensively renovated in 1778 by Jan van Suchtelen.
The property combines French and English landscape designs, with geometric avenues from the 18th century and romantic garden elements added during the 19th century.
The main house functions as an office for Stichting IJssellandschap foundation and includes a catering facility on the ground floor for visitors.
During the Cold War, the estate incorporated defensive structures of the IJssellinie, including underground bunkers, casemates, and an inundation system.
