Jachin Boazkerk

Jachin Boazkerk is a Reformed church in Urk featuring three stories with a distinctive red brick tower rising about 25 meters. Large window sections run across the facade, and the building accommodates approximately 1,580 people.

Construction of this church began in 1959 under architect A.W. Helmink, with the building opening to the congregation in 1960. The structure was expanded in 2005 and again in 2019 to accommodate growing numbers.

The church serves as a central meeting place for the local Reformed community and shapes the religious life of Urk through regular gatherings. Members gather here for worship and community events that mark the rhythm of town life.

In 2021, the church installed a new electronic organ with 27 registers that incorporates pipe components originally built in 1859. This instrument blends historic and modern musical elements and is a striking feature of the interior.
