Natuurdiorama Holterberg, Natural history museum in Holten, Netherlands
The Natuurdiorama Holterberg displays more than 1000 European animal species through eleven large-scale habitat recreations spanning from the Sallandse Heuvelrug to the Alps.
The museum has operated for over 80 years since its establishment by Piet Bos, becoming one of the oldest natural history institutions in the Netherlands.
The museum serves as an educational center where children participate in scavenger hunts and outdoor activities in the Forest of Daantje Das.
The facility operates from Wednesday to Sunday between 11:00 and 17:00 during winter months, with extended hours and days during summer season.
The collection features the single European monkey species and the largest songbird native to the Netherlands among its extensive animal exhibits.
