Groot Arsenaal, Military fortification in Breda, Netherlands
The Groot Arsenaal spans sixty meters in length and features two parallel gabled roofs with natural stone arch gates and corner pilasters.
Built in 1771 by French architect J.C.W. Herlin, the structure served as a military arsenal within the Seeligkazerne complex between the Mark River and Haagdijk.
The building now functions as an educational facility for De Rooi Pannen vocational college, training students in hospitality and tourism sectors.
The restored monument contains teaching restaurants, multifunctional rooms, and facilities where students gain hands-on experience in hospitality management.
The interior space divides into two naves supported by round arches on rectangular pillars, with the western wall displaying a gate decorated with Doric elements.
