The Nederlands Hervormde Kerk features red brick walls with natural stone blocks at corners and a tower topped by a wooden spire.
The church, designed by architect J.A.G. van der Steur, replaced a previous structure destroyed by fire and was constructed between 1895 and 1897.
The interior contains a copper lectern, wooden benches, and an organ built by L. van Dam & Zonen in 1901.
The church building stands at Markt 23A in central Schagen and can accommodate between 250 and 400 people for services.
The nave includes four bays with transverse side areas, and a wooden partition wall added in 1923 divides the interior space.
