The former department store occupies a corner position with facades along Choorstraat, Stadhuisbrug, and Oudegracht, featuring natural stone walls and display windows.
The building underwent multiple construction phases from 1850, starting with C. Kramm's neoclassical design and expanding through modifications by architects Houtzagers and Kuyt until 1933.
Decorative elements include medallions, sculptures of Mercury, and Art Deco animal reliefs, representing trade symbols and mythological figures across the building's exterior.
The ground floor contains retail spaces with large display windows, while upper floors feature continuous window series separated by pilasters and decorative elements.
The structure maintains its original staircase with stained glass windows and a light dome, demonstrating the architectural evolution of Dutch commercial buildings.
