Huis Brakel features a neoclassical design with a bell tower connecting the main building to the coach house on the expansive estate grounds.
The current mansion was constructed in 1768 after French troops destroyed the previous structure in 1672 during their military campaign.
The estate functions as a community center where local residents gather for ceremonies, conferences, and various social gatherings throughout the year.
The mansion provides accommodation for up to 200 guests, with chef Laurent Schandrin preparing meals for events and celebrations.
The main house displays an unusual architectural choice where walls adjacent to front windows are plastered white while others remain exposed brick.
