Korzo, Theatre and arts center in the Court Quarter, The Hague, Netherlands
Korzo is a theatre and arts venue in The Hague's Court Quarter, occupying multiple connected buildings. The complex integrates performance halls, rehearsal areas, and a foyer within a former church structure along Prinsestraat and Nobelstraat.
The building began as a cinema called Corzo and was transformed into a dance theatre during the 1980s. It underwent major expansions in the 1990s and underwent comprehensive renovations between 2007 and 2011.
The venue hosts contemporary dance performances and brings in artists from around the world for various festivals and shows. This makes it a gathering place where visitors experience modern performance art that reflects current creative trends.
The venue sits between the Great Church and Palace Gardens in a well-connected location. You can reach it within about 20 minutes on foot from the main stations or by nearby tram lines.
The venue runs the Get Moving programme, which provides professional guidance and development opportunities for young people aged 15 to 25 in different performing arts disciplines. This special initiative makes it an important place for nurturing emerging talent in the city.
