Het Schooltje van Dik Trom, Children's literature museum in Etersheim, Netherlands
The museum occupies a former village school building with one classroom, displaying a collection of 1,200 children's books and educational materials from past centuries.
The schoolhouse, constructed in 1882 and designed by architect H.P. van den Aardweg, served as the workplace of author C. Joh. Kieviet from 1883 to 1903.
The museum preserves the legacy of Dutch children's literature through exhibits centered on Dik Trom stories and other works by C. Joh. Kieviet.
The museum opens on weekends from 12:30 to 16:30 throughout the year, with additional Wednesday hours during school holidays and summer months.
The building houses the original classroom where C. Joh. Kieviet wrote and tested his Dik Trom stories by reading them to his students.
