The Regiment Stoottroepen emerged from resistance groups in southern Netherlands during World War II and later participated in missions across Dutch East Indies and Yugoslavia.
The museum maintains a silent room on the ground floor dedicated to fallen soldiers, preserving their memory through personal stories and memorabilia.
The museum opens Wednesday through Friday from 13:00 to 17:00, offers free admission, and includes wheelchair-accessible facilities and a parking area.
Visitors with a Drentse museum pass receive complimentary refreshments and an informative booklet about the Regiment Stoottroepen's origins.
