Wonderwereld

Wonderwereld is a combined animal park and playground with animals living in separate enclosures throughout the grounds. The facility includes displays for macaws, mongooses, owls, kookaburras, lemurs, and meerkats, as well as a themed dragon area with underground cave sections.

The park expanded by adding a dragon-themed area that incorporates regional folklore into the visitor experience through underground passages. This development merged the zoo concept with local storytelling traditions.

This place functions as a spot where visitors, especially children, observe animals up close and learn about their natural behaviors. The setup encourages direct engagement with different species in their designated areas.

The site is open from April through October, with extended visiting hours during July and August. Winter closures mean the grounds are not accessible from November onward.

Within the Dragon Cave area, visitors follow the story of Greurt through underground passages that reveal local legends about giants and sleeping dragons. This blend of mythology and natural history distinguishes this place from typical animal facilities.
