Museum Oud Amelisweerd, Art museum in Bunnik, Netherlands
Museum Oud Amelisweerd is an art museum housed in a historic building beside the Kromme Rijn river. The structure contains multiple gallery spaces arranged across different levels to display rotating exhibitions.
The museum was established in 2012 and opened to the public in 2014. From 2014 to 2017, it housed a major artist's collection, which was later withdrawn.
The institution collaborates with Utrecht castle museums to organize temporary exhibitions that highlight regional heritage and contemporary artistic expressions.
The museum is located at Koningslaan 9 in Bunnik and has a cafe next to the entrance for visitors. You can enjoy refreshments before or after your visit.
In 2017, the museum underwent a transformation when artist Armando withdrew over thousand artworks, leading to a restructuring of its exhibition strategy.
