JuBi building, Government office building in The Hague, Netherlands.
The JuBi building in The Hague comprises two towers built with brick, natural stone, and prefabricated concrete elements, standing 146 meters tall. Inside, the complex provides roughly 4,000 workspaces spread across floors, along with a large restaurant and extensive bicycle storage facilities.
The site previously contained a residential building called De Zwarte Madonna, which was demolished to make room for this new government complex. Construction was completed at the end of 2012, marking a significant transformation in this area of the city.
The building serves as headquarters for the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security and the Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Relations. Its role as a major government center makes it a visible sign of how the country organizes its administration.
The complex provides clear access points and good orientation once inside the building. Ample parking spaces and bicycle facilities make it easy to arrive whether you come by car or bike.
A striking wrought iron gate at the entrance marks the boundary between public space and the government area. This detail catches the eye and becomes a defining feature of the complex.
